Call for Creative Practitioners

We are looking for 2 practitioners to explore in collaboration with group of 20 year 9 pupils  and their two teachers,  how  we can make our new  thematic curriculum more exciting and relevant.
For the new thematic curriculum we have decided to put together some unusual subject combinations and now we are looking for practitioners who can help us push this experiment even further. We want to show that excellent learning, can be exciting and motivating for staff and pupils alike.
We are looking for two practitioners who can complement our existing skills and are happy to be part of a pupil and staff planning team. You need to be committed to collaboration and young people being co-constructors of learning and understanding of teacher’s workload.

There will be two projects
1. A collaboration between History and Music, focusing on voices from the past.
2. A collaboration between Drama and Geography on the theme of crime.

The projects will run for five Mondays:
1. March, 8. March, 15.March, 22.March, 29. March2010
  
Planning sessions will be on the 14.December 2009 and 22.February.2010






The project fees per project are as follows:

5 days in school delivering alongside teaching staff    at £230 a day   £1150
2 days planning in school alongside staff &pupils               at £230 a day  £   460
1.5 additional planning & review (in school)                           at £230 a day  £   345
1 day preparation & planning of site                                 at £200 a day  £   200

Total                                                                                                        £ 2155

This fee is including travel

A materials budget up to £ 300 will be available, depending on need for the projects.

  1. They opportunity is open to practitioners of all practices, musicians, drama, filmmaking, animation, visual art, historians,dance, craft or anything else. Important is that you feel you can complement existing skills, and are excited by the prospect of exploring above themes.
